Paper Strip Quilting

I’m super excited to show you one of the cards that I made yesterday……..and it’s kinda like making a quilt without the sewing!  And much smaller, of course!  And, speaking of quilts, I have two more completed quilts to show you.  I will try to do the photos in the sunlight today so I can post them tomorrow.  Both of them were on the blow awhile back when I was starting them, or partially done.  Now they are complete, and I am so happy to have them DONE!  I love completed projects that I can check OFF my list!  So here is something that I was playing around with yesterday — thought we might try to do it at our club classes next week.  I decided that it was fun, and simple (and looks hard)…….and I made the executive decision on this technique for one of our three projects.  I will give more details after the classes next week, but I’ll give you a hint…….it’s on SplitCoast Stampers if you just can’t wait.  I always try to give credit where credit is due (although I wish that my brain would come up with a bright idea sometime on my own!) and this idea is definitely not my own.

Our card next week will use different papers and colors, but the technique will still be Paper Strip Quilting.  This sample uses Taken With Teal — and this color is retiring in June.  If you want to get any products in this color, you will want to order them in May.  Stampin’ Up! will guarantee products during the month of may only.  In June, they will be available ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
