This is the fourth and final card that we did during our last Saturday Stamp Time featuring the Pink Pirouette Blendabilites. We masked the little “rubber duckies” so that we were only stamping the image, and not the words (since they are on the same stamp). We also used the Soft Sky Blendabilities to color the middle duck.
Notice the Pink Pirouette Baker’s Twine? We simply colored the Whisper White Baker’s Twine with one of our Blendabilites and used it for the sweet little heart button. Just another fun way to use your Blendabilities.
Lastly, I created some shading under the ducks. It is faint, but it creates some depth and dimension. I learned this little tip at Leadership a couple of weeks ago from Diana Gibbs. She showed us how to use the Smoky Slate Blendabilities to create this shadowing. We took the lightest shade, and colored a small “puddle” onto a Clear Mount Block. Then we used the Color Lifter marker to pick up just a small amount of that gray and color with it. VERY similar to what you would do with a Blender Pen, if you are familiar with that. Just ANOTHER cool thing you can do with Blendabilities. They are SO versatile!!! I think I’m dreaming of more new colors for the Blendabilities already!!!
I still have a few cards to share from my last “Saturday Stamp Time” class. This was a fun birthday card we made using the “BIG DAY” stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. We used our new Pink Pirouette Blendabilites to create the ombre-looking background. To get this look, we used the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper. This is also a FREE product that you can choose when you order $50 or more during our Sale-A-Bration Sales Period. This white paper features a glossy white pattern that is perfect for coloring using a variety of techniques. So this time, we chose the striped pattern, and colored with the Blendabilites. I used the darkest shade for about 5-6 rows, then switched to the medium shade, and lastly on to the lightest shade.
We also used the Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight Blendabilites to color in the stamped image. Did you know that you can ALSO earn the Blendabilites for FREE during Sale-A-Bration? Yep! You can get one set for free with each $50 you order. I used a few new accessories on this card, also……the button is from the Sweet Dreams button collection, and the Bermuda Bay sequin trim is definitely one of my favorite new accessories in the Occasions catalog. It adds such a fun, festive touch!
I have another SATURDAY STAMP TIME coming up on February 28th. I would LOVE to have you join us. We have a great time stampin’ on Saturday morning from 10-12, and you get LOTS of new Stampin’ Up! products. The next class will feature Birthday cards and our Birthday Bash Designer Series paper. You’ll get a sampling of many new accessories, also! RSVP by clicking on MY EVENTS at the top of this page.
There is a beautiful new stamp set in the Occasions catalog, designed for Easter, called Indescribable Gift. It’s “another flower set” that you may think you don’t need. But wait, you do need it! Look at this gorgeous card! We made this at my Saturday Stamp Time last week. We used the new Pink Pirouette Blendabilities to color the flowers and to add color to the Taffeta Ribbon, as well.
The Something Borrowed Embellishments really added an elegant touch to this birthday card. And by the way, these words are from the Butterfly Basics Stamp set, but there are beautiful words that come with the stamp set. You’ll see me using them in the future for some Easter cards.
To get the beautiful sparkling effect, I embossed the entire Whisper White cardstock with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. First, color as desired. Then apply VersaMark ink all over the cardstock. Sprinkle the entire piece with Iridescent Ice EP, and heat it up with your heat tool. This little extra step turns your card into a MASTERPIECE! I think it makes the card so incredibly gorgeous, and in real life, it is just stunning. I can’t wait to create more sparkly cards!
Here are some of the supplies used.
Item 138575, $15.95
Stampin’ Up! introduced new Weekly Deals yesterday……and I’m pretty excited about these. I don’t have a few of these items, so I’ll be adding them to my order this week. Would you like any of these items? I’ll throw in FREE SHIPPING if you email me or call me with your order before they expire next Monday night.
The card below was used for one of my recent Blendabilities Classes. We used them in a “non-traditional” way and colored on top of embossed pumpkins. First you want to emboss the pumpkins on Whisper White Cardstock using White Embossing Powder. Allow them to cool. Color and shade as desired. Use a light touch to protect the tips of your markers. Hope you enjoy another great idea using the Fall Fest Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Blendabilites markers (Pumpkin Pie set).
This coming Saturday, I am having class #6 using the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. We will be using the Night of Navy and Coastal Cabana sets. Here are the cards we will be making on Saturday using those markers. Attendees will go home with both sets of markers, and four gorgeous projects. If you are interested in attending this class, please contact me via email or by RSVP by clicking on the MY EVENTS link above.

I had my second class on Saturday, and these were 2 of the samples we made. (The other 2 were in my last post.) Wow….I can’t say enough how wonderful these markers are! They make me feel like an artist — and I enjoy coloring more than I ever did as a kiddo! Want to learn more? Come to Blendabilites Class #3 on Saturday, August 23rd from 10-12. You will love it!
This last card is a really fun card! The center of the Vellum flower is made with a “blob” of Crystal Effects. I put the Crystal Effects on my Silicon Craft Sheet and let it dry overnight. I used my darkest Daffodil Delight marker to color the “blob” and let it dry a bit before placing in the center of my flower. Isn’t that cute? The fun little Polka Dots were stamped with one of our newest Photopolymer images — “Dotty Angles” — Item 133658, $15.95. There are 2 images, these dots, and also some cool triangles. Check it out!

I will be having a class using the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers on Saturday. This is the second class, but you can join any of these classes — attend one, or attend all. I’d love to have you and teach you some tricks and alternative uses for our new alcohol based markers.
First, I love showing this comparison of coloring “light to dark” or “dark to light”. If you are a visual learner, you will love this! Isn’t this gorgeous?
Here are two of the samples we will be making on Saturday. We will use Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler markers. If you RSVP’d for this class, you will go home with those 2 sets of markers as well as the Color Lifter Pen. If you would like to come “last minute”, I will allow you to use my markers, and then you can have your markers delivered in about one week. If you would like to reserve a spot, please let me know right away.
One fun thing that I bet you didn’t think about (because I sure didn’t) — use the Blendabilites to add color and shading to our Designer Series Paper! This paper used to be Basic Black and Whisper White, and I added Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities to it. WOW! It comes to life! I have another sample done in Daffodil Delight. Equally wonderful! Special thanks to demos who showed me this neat application!
