A quick little mummy card….

I love the Colorblock look on cards!  Something about the structure and orderliness, I suppose.  I got this idea on a blog somewhere and tweeked a little bit, as usual.  The Googlie Ghouls came out to play again…….and the Chevron Embossing Folder, too.  If you don’t have that one……please tell me you plan on ordering it.  Seriously, I know you can’t live without this one!  Smile!

The colors I used are Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, and Tangarine Tango.  Do you notice the black mat around the circle?  That’s not a specific punched shape we sell, but here’s how you get this look.  You’ll need a scalloped circle punch.  This is the large one, but you can use any of our sizes.

Step 1:  Punch out one scalloped circle.

Step 2:  Stick it on the edge of a post-it note so that you have a “handle” and the punch shape sticks to it.

Step 3: Slide the punched shape into your punch a second time and line up the punch so that it is alternating opposite of the original punch.  So you have little points instead of scallops.  Here’s how you want it to look — twist it and turn it until you get it just right and PUNCH!

Step 4:  Admire your new punched

I start my new job today!  I am super excited — maybe a tiny bit nervous — but not too much.  Just excited to move forward and get used to the “new normal”.  I have a fantastic feeling about everything and a good friend whose office will be nearby.  I feel confident and ready!   Thanks for prayers as we all adjust and get used to things……..especially Sarah since she’s the only one home these days — and she doesn’t get her license until next summer!  Thank you for all your kind words of encouragement these days.  We feel very blessed and very loved.  God is good — even when things don’t go our way — or the way we think they should go — God is in control and I have my faith!
