Tri-Fold Card with Flower Fest Belly Band

We made this at Stamp Club this week, and our second class will make it on Monday.  If you live locally, and would like to be a guest on Monday night, please let me know.  WE ALWAYS WELCOME GUESTS!  Come see what we are doing and learn new tricks and tips along the way.  And there are always yummy snacks to satisfy the tummy!

This card is very simple to create and looks fabulous when it’s done.  Choose a strip of your favorite Designer Series Paper and use that as your color scheme.  This piece is from the FREE Sale-A-Bration paper pack called Everyday Enchantment.  You can earn this for FREE until the end of March.  Spend $50 in Stampin’ Up! products, and get a gorgeous paper pack (or another item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog) for FREE.

To make this card, start with a standard size card in Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla.  Emboss the Vanilla card with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder and cut 1 1/2″ off of one side of the Lucky Limeade Card.  Use a punch to make a decorative edge on the shortened Lucky Limeade card.

You will lay the two cards on top of each other and attach them with adhesive.  This will form your Tri-Fold card as shown below.

I added the DSP to the top flap, and made a Belly Band with a strip of Baja Breeze Cardstock.  The strip measures 1″ x 10″ and I folded it around my card to overlap in the CENTER.  You can “hide” the seam where it overlaps by attaching your flower at that seam.  The brad will also help hold the band securely together and you won’t worry about the adhesive getting weak.

The flower is from Flower Fest and fits the Large Scalloped Circle Punch.  Actually, most of the images in this set match up to our punches.  I suppose you now know why I own this stamp set!  I am sucker for buying the ones that go with our punches.  They make my heart happy!
