Just in case you haven’t decided on your “sweet treats” for Valentine’s Day (coming up on Monday!), I thought I’d give you a few ideas this week. I’m a little behind, too, and Sarah is hounding me about it already. She said that “used to” I would have my idea several weeks ahead of time…….and “used to” her treats were ready in advance, not last minute! Well, Sarah, what can I say? I’m getting old? Yeah, that’s it…….and maybe a little lazy, too! Ha!
So if you want to do something quick and easy, you can take some cute DSP and wrap it around some fun-size candy bars. Grab some ribbon and bundle up 3 of them for a super cute treat! I added the Cupcake Punch to a clothespin for the final touch! I just got this punch last week, and I was anxious to make something with it right away! And do youn see the gorgeous red glitter paper? Perfect! All of these items — the Paper, the Punch, and the Glitter Paper — can be found in our newest Mini Catalog. If you don’t have a copy, and you would like one, please send me your address and I will mail one to you!
The second version uses 3 Ghirardelli individual chocolate bars. I love this idea because I could use the PINK accents because the Raspberry Ghirardellis have the pretty pink foil on them. I like how they taste, too, although I’m really not a big chocolate fan. I think the pink and gray color combo really works on this one! The stamped image is from Love You Much, in the traditional Idea Book and Catalog. I used Dimensionals to pop up the Pink Pirouette Heart and also to attach the stamped piece to the top of the ribbon knot.
As I am typing this (last night to most of you!), we are anticipating more sleet, rain, snow, wintery mix, whatever….and our foster baby is scheduled to have surgery for Ear Tubes at 6 a.m. By the time most of you are reading this, we will probably be out of surgery — if the weather doesn’t keep us from getting there. We’re hoping and praying for safety and an easy procedure for us this morning! I’ll update this post later on, if I can possibly find the time. Have a very happy day!!!!
