Hi, friends! I’m sorry I am not getting must posted today…..I’m under the attack of a “stomach bug” and really not able to do anything much. I will be back tomorrow with some new Stampin’ Up! projects.
Kimi’s birthday was AMAZING! We had so much fun and were able to meet many of their extended family and friends. She is in SUCH a great adoptive home and we were reminded again how special they are. God truly blessed us with the perfect family for her — they adopted her AND us! Here are just a few of our photos…….she was so precious and so excited! All the lights and people and attention focused on her!
Ever since Kimi left our house, she has screamed and cried when Charles tried to hold her. It has made us all so, so sad. So this time, we kept “introducing” him slowly in smal doses, and she eventually warmed up to him. Her mom suggested Charles feed her some of the toppings from the pizzas and that would entice her a bit. We had Mushroom Pizzas, Black Olive Pizzas, and Pineapple Pizzas. So, here she is feeding him some black olives. It was quite comical because Charles HATES black olives AND mushrooms — but he said he would eat anything for Kimi!
And here she is “checking out” the card I gave her. I actually “re-cycled” a card front that someone traded me at convention. I don’t have the Sock Monkey stamp, but I thought Kimi might like the cute little monkey. I trimmed 1/4″ off of the sides and mounted it onto some Whisper White Cardstock. We all wrote messages to her on the inside and her family loved it, too!
These are Kimi’s new parents……..her mom made the cutest “DIRT CAKE” with Chocolate Pudding, Oreo crumbles, Gummie Worms, and flowers (already taken out at this point)….it was quite a hit with everyone.
And here are the gorgeous smiles of her mom and dad! They are the most beautiful people inside and out. They are totally smitten with Kimi and are committed to doing everything in their power to create a wonderful life for her. They were so gracious to allow us to “take over” and love on her during the entire party. The only time we weren’t holding her was when we sang Happy Birthday to her and she opened her presents. These lovely people never acted possessive or hurt at all that we were “hogging” her and encouraged us to do so since we rarely see her. The grandparents were just as loving and praised us over and over again for all we had done to take care of their new grandbaby. It was just a very special day! I can’t say it enough……God has blessed us so, so much!!!!
