Sunflower Card and Party Favor Box

These are the other 2 projects that we made on Thursday night at my Club Class.  If I haven’t said it before, let me just tell you that my Big Shot Cutting Machine is one of the best investments I have ever made.  These are 2 more projects that could not have been made without  it — and certainly not this quick and easy!  If you have been “on the fence” about getting a Big Shot, I hope you will reconsider SOON.  You will not regret it.  If you purchase the Big Shot and 2-3 Dies for it, you have spent enough to qualify for hostess benefits and additional FREE merchandise.  You can have your own “party” and enjoy the rewards!

Using the Daisies Die Cut, you can create this gorgeous sunflower.  You will want to cut 2 of the largest size Daisy.

We sponged the center of the flowers (Daffodil Delight cardstock) with More Mustard Ink, and added a textured center using Early Espresso Cardstock.  I ran it through the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder before we punched the circles.  We sponged and distressed the edges of the circle to give it some added dimension.  The leaf image, as well as the sentiment, are from Good Friend.

The next two boxes were made with the Party Favor Box Die and the new single stamp “Homemade” found in the very front of the new catalog.  I love the options we have this year for single images.  They are adorable — and cost effect, too.  If you like to bake goodies, you won’t want to miss this stamp.

And I must mention that I have seen many samples online that use the large scallop border WITHOUT using the “homemade” image.  People are taking the large circle punch and cutting out various images,  placing them in the center and covering up the original image.   So, you can see the benefits of this stamp/punch even if you don’t think you’d use the “homemade” part.  Hope that makes sense.  I will be showing samples in the future…

This first box used Perfect Plum.  You must use 12×12 paper to make this particular box.  I happened to have enough of this color for 22 boxes (the size of the club), but the bright, festive box above is actually cuter!  We also used the new 1 3/4″ circle punch to punch out the center image and raise it up with Dimensionals.  It’s a bit hard to tell from this photo, but we also added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the cupcakes.

Have a great day.  Enjoy your weekend!
