Yummy Frosting!!!

Doesn’t this “frosting” look yummy???  I stole this idea from our Stampin’ Success Magazine that Demonstrators receive.  I loved the way it turned out, and I know you will, too!  I’m hoping that you can see the 3-D effect on this close-up photo.  This technique “bubbles” up and creates a look that is dimensional and sparkly all at the same time!  This card also features the NEW Border Punch that you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.

The “recipe” for the frosting technique listed in our magazine is one part Embossing Powder and one part Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  However,  my dear friend Jackie recommended her recipe which used one part White Embossing Powder, one part Clear Embossing Powder, and 2 parts Glitter.  Basically the same thing, just a little more specific on the colors.  To create the embossed effect, you will apply Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue in a “swirly” circular motion and then sprinkle the powder on it (shaking off the excess powder) before heating it up.  Apply heat with your Heat Tool until you see it bubbling.  Turn off the heat and let the bubbles go down.  Re-apply the heat one more time to complete the process.  I am anxious to try some different colors and see if I can come up with Strawberry Frosting — or Chocolate Frosting!  Yummy!!! Are you hungry yet?
