Sympathy Card

Today is a great day!  The new catalog goes LIVE……..all of you can see it online or contact me for your copy today!  Our Stampin’ Up! website is down until noon so they can get everything ready for us to accept orders on our websites and load all the new goodies for you.  It is always very exciting to know what you like about the new book………..please let me know!  You can purchase anything you want after NOON.  You can go directly to my website  and order.  You don’t have to wait for me to get the e-mail or be home to get your call.  The price is the same, and YOU GET A FREE COPY OF THE CATALOG if you order $50 or more on the website — this is coming directly from Stampin’ Up! in your box with your order.  Of course, I still would love for you to call me directly, and I will gladly place your order.  But the truth of the matter (and you all know this about me) is that I am not always home to take your calls.  So, please feel free to order on-line if you prefer.  You can shop 24/7 just like all the other on-line stores!!!!  Fantastic for our business.

Club Classes are this week (tonight and Thursday) so I will be posting club projects very soon……….and things we made at Leadership and Regionals.  Some of the other bloggin’ gals will probably show you things before I get to it, but hopefully I can show you a few things you have not seen later in the week.

Unfortunately, I have needed several sympathy cards in the last few weeks.  I really don’t like to sit down and make these at the time of need.  I prefer to have them ready in my “stash” so that I can sign them and send them out quickly.  There is something about making them that is never really too fun for me, but I try to think of the smile and comfort that it might bring a hurting heart — that is the encouragement I need to make a lovely card.   Here is one of my most recent cards…flowerfancy1flowerfancy2

These cards are almost the same…….the only difference is the ink on the flowers.  On the top photo it is Pacific Point (the outline) and on the bottom card it is Pacific Point stamped off one time to “soften” the color.  I was just playing with it to see which I liked better.  I am happy with both of them………didn’t make a huge difference in my eyes.   These cards were quite thick with the flowers, the beads, and the large grosgrain ribbon.  I did need to add extra postage, but my friends are well worth it!!!

Supplies used: Stamp:  Flower Fancy, Sanded Background Stamp;  Cardstock:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze; Ink:  Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Old Olive;  Accessories:  Sponge (around the edges of the card), Beads (old, retired ones, sorry!), Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Scallop Punch.

Don’t forget that Sell-A-Bration is quickly approaching.  I am working on lots of samples to show you, but I don’t think I can show them to you until February 1st……..gotta check on that so I don’t get in trouble with SU!  If you want to book a workshop during February or March, please contact me right away!   Have a great day……….
